ASBESTOS OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE (O&M) -

INITIAL TRAINING:

16-hour Asbestos Training Course

This two-day absestos training course educates maintenance and custodial workers involved in general maintenance where asbestos-containing material (ACM) is likely to be disturbed. This course includes hands-on exercises and demonstrations. Topics covered: Identifying asbestos, developing an O&M program, health effects, personal protective equipment, control methods and work practices, maintenance related removal, and regulations.

 

ASBESTOS OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE (O&M) - REFRESHER TRAINING:

4-hour Asbestos Training Course

This 4-hour absestos refresher training is required annually for maintenance and custodial workers involved in general maintenance where asbestos-containing material (ACM) is likely to be disturbed. This course includes hands-on exercises and demonstrations. Topics covered: Identifying asbestos, developing an O&M program, health effects, personal protective equipment, control methods and work practices, maintenance related removal, and regulations.

 

ASBESTOS TRAINING FOR LEA'S (DESIGNATED PERSON):

8-hour Asbestos Training Course

This asbestos training course provides the required training under AHERA for Local Education Agencies (LEA's) to comply with the Asbestos Containing Materials in schools rule. Topics covered: Detection, Identification and assessment of asbestos-containing material, Health effects, Controlling asbestos-containing building material, Asbestos management plans; and Federal and state regulations.

 

ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING:

2-hour Asbestos Training Course

This asbestos awareness training course provides a basic understanding of asbestos, its' hazards, and the ability to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in the workplace.
